Talk n Text never lost its focus and came through with the baskets that mattered, downing Alaska Wednesday, 93-79, to gain headway in their PBA Philippine Cup semifinal duel at the MOA Arena.
Kelly Williams and Larry Fonacier finished with 23 and 21 points, respectively, to lead the Tropang Texters to a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Fonacier starred in a decisive run that gave TNT 69-53 bulge late in the third quarter and the Aces could come no closer than 11 the rest of the way.
Sonny had 17 points and 14 rebounds for Alaska, which lost Calvin Abueva due to one technical and one flagrant foul penalty 1, Gabby Espinas due to six personal fouls and Cyrus Baguio because of a flagrant foul penalty 2.
